Nano Measurements, Inc. provides preventive maintenance for your company’s optical inspection tools such as microscopes and cameras. The technical term for this service is collimation.

During a precision collimation service on your optical tool by our certified collimation technicians your instrument will receive a detailed inspection, proper adjustments where needed for fine tuning, cleaning of lenses with proper non-abrasive solvents, and lubrication of moving parts for smoother operation and protection from the elements.

By having your optical tools set up on a collimation program with Nano Measurements, Inc. you will be able to prevent the costly repairs that typically come with frequent use and neglect.

Our collimation service includes the following:

Inspect stage for proper travel

Inspect focus block for functionality (travel & feel)

Check objectives for parfocality and concentricity

Check objectives for chips on bottom lenses

Check and center illuminator

Check and center condenser apertures

Check and center diaphragms

Check alignment of head assembly

Check and adjust parfocality of eyepieces to camera where applicable

Center illumination with optics

Clean outer surfaces of instrument

Clean & lubricate stage drives & bearings, slides, and actuators

Clean camera (CCD, 35mm, etc.)

You will receive a service report at the completion of the service session where required.
