ESD Board Procurement
ESD Standards & Specifications		 All chip packages to be tested in our machines interface with the machine via a test board. The test board has a socket mounted to it and the chip package is placed inside the socket. The test equipment then interfaces with the part through the test board. There are many types of chip packaging and therefore many types of test boards. Nano Measurements currently has approximately 200 test boards in its inventory.* If we have the board necessary for your part we provide it at no additional cost to you.

We also have access to other in-house test board inventories. If we do not have the board in inventory we can have it made for you at competitive prices. In some cases we may be interested in buying the board back from you by heavily discounting future work for you.

Nano Measurements can provide you with quick-turn ESD Test Boards
(typical turn-time is 3 weeks) for the following ESD Testers:
• Thermo Electron Corp. (Thermo KeyTek) 512 pin Verifier3 ESD Tester
• Thermo Electron Corp. (Thermo KeyTek) 1024 pin Paragon ESD Tester
ESD & Latch-up stress testing requires the use of “Device Under Test” (DUT) hardware to allow the parts being stressed to interface with the test equipment. The hardware includes a printed circuit board (PCB) mounted by a mechanical socket to receive the microchip package being tested.

Nano Measurements maintains an extensive inventory of over 200 DUT boards and sockets for standard packages such as BGA, QFN, TSSOP, etc. as well as some of the more unique packages.

Nano Measurements is happy to procure DUT boards and DUT sockets for the ESD & Latch-up projects that we do not already have hardware for in our inventory. We take a minimal markup for this service. If we already have the needed hardware in our inventory we will use it for your project at no extra charge.

You may, to save time and expense, provide Nano Measurements with the DUT board and/or DUT socket yourself if we do not already have them in our inventory. In order to procure DUT boards and sockets for your project, we may require a package drawing of your device to be stressed and/or a mechanical drawing of your DUT socket if available.
